SOLVED: SmarterMail Plesk No MX records were found for the '.com' domain.

SOLVED: SmarterMail Plesk No MX records were found for the '.com' domain.


It was a good day today but as I arrived office, I came up with a strange situation which bogged down all of our staff.

Live chat was busy, phone were ringing and all of my colleagues were busy in searching for the solution. The error was as below:


Could not deliver message to the following recipient(s):
Failed Recipient: navicosofttech@gmail.comReason: Remote host said: 601 Failed to connect to the recipient's mail server. No MX records were found for the 'gmail.com' domain.Status: 544 5.4.4 Host not found (not in DNS).Attempted to send the message to the following IPs:172.217.3.101

I googled but couldn't  find anything but the error correlated with MX records or DNS so I found out the error being in the DNS of SmarterMail Interface.

SOLUTION:


Here are the steps to fix the above error:

Login to Smartermail as Admin
Go to Settings
Go to General
Primary & Secondary DNS IP should be something like Google's DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

That's all and the error should be evaded.
